IRENE Pro is our brand new software product for gas network calculations and analyses. It has the same functionalities as IRENE Xpert and more. The biggest differences are that IRENE Pro has its own built-in Graphics User Interface and that it communicates via an exchange format which is based on the internationally well-known and compatible XML format. This enables the smooth communication with your Company’s Network Control System including, if present, your implemented GIS infrastructure. Furthermore, it has become independent of (Oracle) databases. The programme is very flexible: it can calculate small simple networks as well as large complex networks within no-time. It can be easily embedded in your GIS environment, but it can also work stand-alone, for example on a laptop, even from a USB memory stick.
Currently two modules of IRENE Pro are available: the basic module IRENE Pro St (Standard) which contains all important functionalities, necessary for good network calculations and analyses, and the module IRENE Pro Dsigner, with which the minimum required pipe diameters for new networks and extensions can be determined. Additional functionalities will become available later, like the module IRENE Pro Profile, in which the network calculations are made using actual consumer profiles on an hour to hour basis throughout the entire calendar year.
